A native of Cabot, Pennsylvania, Kelly Campman is not new to the United Methodist Church or its music. Kelly began attending Zion UMC in Sarver, PA in 1975 at the age of three, and remained active in the life of the church with youth ministries and music. Kelly returned to Zion UMC upon graduation from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and was hired as the Director of Music.
At the same time, Kelly was a music teacher and choral director in public and private schools as well as a music instructor at Butler County Community College. Kelly remains employed by the college since launching online courses in 1998. She also debuted a CD with her band Clockwise Scarlett in 2005 prior to relocating to Myrtle Beach, SC in May of 2006.
Kelly was hired as the music director for the contemporary worship service at Little River UMC in 2006 and also began working for Horry County Schools as the music teacher at Myrtle Beach Intermediate School. She became the interim choir director at LRUMC in 2010 which led to her position as Director of Music for all services.
In 2011, Kelly transferred to Myrtle Beach Middle School to develop the choral program. She remained there until 2014 when she was hired by Myrtle Beach High School as the choral director, piano, and musical theatre instructor. Kelly also completed her Masters in Music from Boston University in 2012.
Kelly resides in Little River, SC with her husband Shawn and children Eva and Ella and step children Katy and Kelly.
